The son of legendary Philadelphia Phillies broadcaster Harry Kalas, Kane, displayed an unbelievable version of ?God Bless America? during Game 6 of the NLCS against the San Francisco Giants. He received a nice ovation from the Philadelphia crowd and provided them with a phenomenal opera version of the song that is performed during the seventh inning of every baseball game.
No broadcaster will ever top what Kalas did during his career with the Phillies. Kalas joined the team in 1971 and will always be remembered by the City of Brotherly Love for the games he called. He passed away on April 13, 2009 just a few hours before the Phillies were scheduled to play the Nationals in Washington, D.C.
