Allen Iverson Is Going To Turkey

Former NBA star point guard Allen Iverson has agreed a $4 million, two-year deal to take his talents to Besiktas, a basketball team in the Turkish professional league.
Allen is expected to sign the deal this week and travel to Istanbul before the 31st. He has an opt-out clause after this season in case he wants to return to the NBA.
Allen is expected to make his debut for Besiktas on Nov. 6 in a game against Bornova. Besiktas played its first game of the season on Oct. 19 and is 1-1 in league standings. Besiktas is considered third among the three most powerful franchises in the Turkish first division. The club has a strong following, and team officials believe Iverson could be a huge draw.
