Three more Microsoft executives left the company this week just days after CEO Steve Ballmer decided to replace Bob Muglia at the top of the Server and Tools Business.
Juniper Networks has snagged Brad Brooks, who was corporate vice president for Windows consumer marketing and product management. Salesforce.com, meanwhile, hired away Matt Miszewski, who was general manager of Microsoft's government business. And Google hired Johnny Chung Lee, who was a key force in Microsoft's Kinect for Xbox 360 product.
Brooks, who had been at Microsoft since 2002, will lead worldwide enterprise marketing for Juniper.

"Most recently at Microsoft, Brooks led the consumer business for the Windows client," Juniper said. "In this role, he oversaw the launch of Windows 7, the most successful launch in Microsoft's history. Prior to Microsoft, Brooks held product management, business development, marketing and sales roles at Lucent Technologies and AT&T. Early in his career, he worked as an intelligence analyst for the U.S. government."
In his new role at Juniper, "Brooks will be responsible for developing and executing overall marketing strategies for the enterprise segment."
At Salesforce.com, Miszewski will be senior vice president of the company's Global Public Sector business, with the goal of helping "governments make their citizens more successful through the power of cloud computing," Salesforce said. Miszewski spent three years at Microsoft, where he "acted as a trusted strategic adviser to national, regional and local government leaders to help them create an information and communications technology environment that supports their individual policy agendas and their citizens."
Chung Lee announced his own change on his blog, saying, "Very recently, I have left Microsoft to join a special projects team at Google. After more than 2 and a half years working as a core contributor to the human tracking algorithms for Kinect, it was an extremely difficult decision and I leave behind many great colleagues in Redmond."
Chung Lee expressed admiration for his Xbox colleagues, noting that Kinect shipped 8 million units in its first 60 days.
"It was great to be a part of such a unique project," Chung Lee wrote. "I look forward to seeing all the creative and unexpected ways that game developers will use the data from the camera to create fun experiences. The Xbox is exceptionally well positioned to do great things in the entertainment space. It's a great console, and a great platform, with a lot of potential. I genuinely look forward to seeing how it will evolve over the next few years and I absolutely wish the Xbox team the best of luck."
While these three executives made important contributions to Microsoft, a bigger transition for the company will be replacing Bob Muglia, who spent 23 years in Redmond.
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer decided to replace Muglia at the top of Server and Tools. However, Muglia will stay on until the summer while Ballmer searches for his replacement.
